The Story of Taheebo

Pau D’arco has been proven a true herb, but not a new one. It is one of the medicinal plants that’s been known by South American Indians for over a thousand years. It was rediscovered about twenty years ago by two physicians and into the “white man’s medicine.” Doctors Teodoro Meyer and Prats Ruiz who have been treating and using this herb with fantastic results. The Brazilian newspapers and magazines devote whole pages to the marvelous cures attributed to Pau D’arco.

Dr. Prats Ruiz tells of a woman living on the La Corona Sugar Plantation suffering from cancer of the womb. She was in such pain that she had wished to throw herself under the train that passed close by her home. After taking the herb for ten days, the constant bleeding stopped and she no longer experienced pain.

Many doctors in Brazil recommend Pau D’arco as a therapeutic herbal tea. It is used in some hospitals and clinics, and the public buys it in herb shops and pharmacies. His personal story and motivation from Taheebo curing his father:

After my father’s miraculous recovery from colon/pancreatic cancer, I was buying the tea where I could find it, and when I could find it. Problem was, even here in the United States, the tea wasn’t easy to find, and when I did find it, often times the quality was very poor, sometimes it wasn’t even the right tea, and almost always the preparation directions were wrong!

Even though we call it tea, what we are actually preparing is a decoction. A decoction is just a fancy word for what our ancestors used to do when they used to cook a root in order to release its beneficial properties. Our tea is made from the inner bark of the Taheebo tree, so it’s made from wood. Even the poor quality Pau D’arco Taheebo teas that are ground up, and made from who knows what part of the tree, are still basically wood. Therefore, if you follow incorrect preparation directions to steep it like you would a leaf tea, you’re not going to release most of the beneficial properties.

So, my friends and I decided to start the Taheebo Tea Club as a source of only one product – pure Pau D’Arco Taheebo tea. To that extent we would like to ask for your help. My Father’s Colon/Pancreas Cancer

Without my father, John Vukovic, there would be no Taheebo Tea Club. My father was diagnosed with colon cancer November 1998. He was taken to the Houston Medical Center in Texas where surgery was performed. The surgeon however could only remove half of the cancerous mass since the cancer had already spread through the colon wall to the pancreas. The doctor, who performed the surgery, decided not to remove my dad’s complete colon because his life expectancy was only months, but aggressive chemo and radiation therapies would commence as soon as his wounds from surgery healed. My father was released from the hospital and scheduled to come back in two weeks.

At home my father received concerned calls and well wishes from friends and family. One of our friends told him about Pau D’arco Taheebo tea and brought some to my father. Since you have to drink liquids anyway, my father started consuming 8 cups a day. Two weeks passed and my father went back to the hospital but his surgical wound had not yet healed, so they could not start chemo and radiation treatments. He was told to come back in a week.

This went on for two months. Wound hasn’t healed, come back in a week. Meanwhile my father, whose normal weight pre-cancer was 180 lbs, and whose weight had fallen to under 130 lbs by the time the surgery was performed, kept drinking Pau D’arco Taheebo tea and he started to get his strength back.

Finally, the wound healed. At that point a CT scan was performed to identify where the cancer was prior to starting treatment. But, they couldn’t see any cancer on the CT scan. They told my father that something must be wrong with their CT scan machine since the surgeon’s report said he left half the cancerous mass in my father. They took another CT scan at the hospital next door and again no cancer. A colonoscopy and other tests were performed but they also showed my father to be cancer free. My father never did receive chemo and radiation treatments.

Since pau D’arco Taheebo tea may have helped him, my father continues to drink Taheebo tea daily and he’s still cancer free. He is now 89 years old, he’s been cancer free for over 22 years, and not only is he healthy, he takes care of my garden and even mows my lawn! If he didn’t enjoy doing it, and it wasn’t good for him, I’d be embarrassed.

In my family, everyone from my 22-year-old son who’s a 4^th year student at UCLA, to my father, to myself drinks the tea all day, every day like water, or, since it has no caffeine, instead of water. Since for me this is a labor of love, and all my family drinks it, the purity is important – that’s why my friends and I started the Taheebo Tea Club.

Testimonies and Insights

Infections

A man went to visit a dentist for a tooth infection. The dentist gave him a prescription for penicillin to knock the bacteria out, and a prescription for Vicodin to kill the pain. He sped over to the drug store, picked up the prescriptions and couldn’t wait to get home to take the pills. His head was throbbing as if it was going to explode.

On his way home he called a friend from his car and was explaining to him what a world of hurt he was in. The friend told him to swing by his place and he’d get rid of his pain in exactly 2 minutes. He was told that not even the Vicodin would kick in that fast, and that he really wanted to get home to get rid of the pain as soon as possible and take the Vicodin and penicillin.

The friend said, ‘Well, you’ve already picked up the pills from the pharmacy, so you’ve got them with you. If the Taheebo Tea I’m going to give you doesn’t work, then start popping the pills.” He went over to his friend’s house. His friend had him take a drink of the tea and hold it in his mouth over the tooth that was infected for a couple of minutes before swallowing. The pain went away.

He explained to his friend though that until enough bacteria was knocked out, which requires drinking 5 or 6 glasses of tea in the span of 3 or 4 hours that the pain would come back again in 30 minutes, but since he’s drinking the tea during this time anyway, to simply take a drink of the tea and hold in his mouth again for 2 minutes before swallowing, and the pain would go away.

Unbelievably this is exactly what happened. Every thirty minutes the pain would come back, he would take a drink of the tea and hold it in his mouth for 2 minutes and the pain would go away. After 4 hours the pain never did come back, and although he did not have any more symptoms of the infection, his friend explained that even though he was now feeling great that the bacteria wasn’t completely gone, but would be if he drank 8 cups a day for 10 days.

So, he drank 8 cups a day for 10 days, never did use the penicillin or Vicodin and his tooth and mouth feel great. He went back for a follow-up with his dentist and besides being quite impressed by the tea he was told that his tooth and mouth were now fine and that the infection was completely gone. Another thing that happened was that the tooth that was infected used to wobble a little since it was loose, and now the gums around it had tightened up, and it appears it was the tea that helped him.

Brain Cancer 

This is a case study of a customer who had brain cancer and his friend had us sent him the tea.

Here’s his experience:

It’s hard to believe the power of nature, but I believe I’m alive today because of Taheebo Tea. My name is Nick, and I live in the Chicago area. I had a problem with my sinuses. I couldn’t breath through my nose. There was a growth in it and in July of 2009 I had sinus surgery to remove the growth. The growth was removed but an MRI detected that I had brain cancer – specifically lymphoma of the brain. The tumor was 1 inch in size.

The doctors recommended chemo and radiation treatments for my brain cancer. I started the treatments in September 2009. I was supposed to receive 15 chemotherapy treatments, one every three weeks, but they made me so sick that I was only able to endure 2 chemotherapy treatments. The radiation treatments were also started at the same time and they were administered to my neck. They were quite harsh as well. They made my skin start peeling, and they made my throat get dry and hoarse. To this day my throat is still so dry that often it’s difficult to swallow food.

I’d had the two chemo treatments in September 2009 and I completed all 39 radiation treatments by the end of November 2009. My brain cancer however was not getting any smaller even though I literally was. Over a period of a couple of months while I was undergoing these treatments I lost 45 pounds and I was going downhill fast and there were no other treatments the doctors thought would work.

In January 2010 a very good friend of mine was in Los Angeles and he came across the Taheebo Tea Club. He had them send me their Pau D’arco Taheebo tea. I started drinking 8 cups per day. After a week I started feeling better. I started to gain my strength back and instead of bringing up all the food I ate, I was able to hold it down. I wasn’t eating any special diet but now my body was getting nutrients again.

About 2 months after I started drinking Taheebo Tea I went for a CT scan which had already previously been scheduled. The doctor nearly fell out of his chair. I didn’t have brain cancer any more. I’ve since been back for CT scans on a regular basis, and I continue to be cancer free.

I’m still having problems with dryness of the throat because of the previous radiation treatments and doctors are giving me some medicine for it. In the mean time doctors are also telling me that my brain cancer will probably come back.

Leukemia and Chemotherapy

Uterus, Fibroids, and Cervix Pain

My experience with Taheebo Tea has been miraculous. I wish I could say that I had a definite physician diagnosis, but I don’t. I stopped going to doctors when they wanted to remove my uterus at 40 – I am now 55. I refused the surgery which was for fibroids (very large grapefruit, lemon, & apple size). I tried to get rid of the fibroids over  the years naturally, but nothing worked. I have been vegetarian for years, but in the past 5 years have started eating 75% raw vegan. I  have never had ANY symptoms or pain or heavy bleeding from fibroids – so I just learned to live with a bulging tummy. I can attest that drinking Taheebo (about 4-8 glasses per day) may have helped heal me from cuts, blisters, bruises, and even simply sore muscles in half the time it used to take. I am 54 years old and teach and practice martial arts, and even though I am generally quite healthy, I have always been a relatively slow healer.  No longer. By the way, a long lasting latent tooth infection cleared up too!

Diabetes 

Our tea has shown itself to be tremendously beneficial for diabetes. Although the complete healing period to be able to get off of insulin, or other diabetes medication is 2 to 3 months for a diabetic it’s easy to see the tea working on a daily/weekly basis as a diabetic takes the blood sugar reading.

If you are taking medication to treat any condition, please keep taking your medication until your daily measurements are at a level where your doctor has told you to reduce the amount of medication. For diabetes, you are measuring your blood sugar level daily in order to regulate the correct dosage of medication.

Say for example if a diabetic is taking on average 40 units of insulin per day. They continue to take their insulin and they start drinking the tea. Since they are measuring their blood sugar on a daily basis they know whether to take 40 units, 30 units, or 50 units of insulin. A difference as big as 40%, will be noticed typically in 3 weeks that instead of needing 40 units of insulin they only need 30 units. In 6 weeks they’ll notice they only need 20 units. In 9 weeks, they’ll only need 10 units and in 3 months they won’t need insulin at all. So even though there is a healing process involved they can tell the tea his helping their body to heal itself by measuring their blood sugar on a daily basis.

Dogs

One day we got a call from a customer who wanted to purchase the tea for their champion show dog who developed a skin disorder, and for whom anti-biotics had not worked. Exactly three weeks later the customer called again to tell us the skin had completely cleared up and the dog was back at work as a model. I asked how they got the dog to drink the tea, and they said they simply replaced the water in his bowl with the tea.

About three months later another customer called and asked if we knew that dogs preferred our tea over water. We told him we’d heard that dogs like our tea, but why did he think that dogs preferred the tea over water. He said he had three dogs, one of which was sick. Since he had multiple dogs he also had multiple water bowls, and he’d replaced the water in one of the bowls with tea, and that bowl was gone first every day.

No Contra-Indications

The tea has no contra-indications with any foods, supplements, or medications. It is naturally caffeine free. It can be drank in any quantity throughout the day by anyone over the age of three. Since a babies nutritional needs are unique, it is not recommended for babies, or women who are breastfeeding or pregnant.

The tea has a number of natural benefits. Some of these include helping to control blood sugar, cleansing the blood of cholesterol and controlling high blood pressure. This fascinating herb is taken from the inner bark of the tall tree called Lapacho, it is an ozoniferous plant, it grows mostly in places where there is ozone. South American Cancer Treatment An excerpt from the “Spotlight”

Could an ancient South American Indian folk medicine treat many types of cancers? Physicians and former cancer patients say yes. This has been widely reported on in newspapers in South America. but not in the U.S.

Young Girl

The story of the discovery of the cancer fighting properties of the tropical bark begins about 20 years ago. A medical establishment had given up on the girl and told her parents that she did not have long to live. But a great-aunt contacted an Indian tribal doctor who said that cancer could be treated with the brew made from the bark of a certain tree. The medicine man gave the woman a little bag of that bark.

The young girl and her parents at first disdained the medicine man’s concoction. But then the sick girl had a strange dream. She saw a friar who told her. “Drink tea brewed with the bark the Indian gave you, and you will get well.” At first she paid no attention to the dream, but as her pain increased, the dream repeated itself. Finally, she decided to try the tea.

Her pain vanished. Encouraged by the results, she continued to take the medicine every morning. Within a month, she was well, and her regular doctor told her parents that no trace of her cancer could be found. The hosts had brought back a bag of the bark as a souvenir.

A Maverick Medico

One of the guests at the party was a medical doctor from the nearby town of Santo Andre, who showed great interest in the bark and begged for a sample.

Dr. Orlando Dei Santo — the guest left the party early and went directly to the Municipal Hospital of Santo Andre, another suburb of Sao Paulo, where he was a resident physician. There, his cancer-stricken brother lay near death.

The cancer victim had just undergone a second operation, and his condition had been declared “Inoperable and terminal.” He was beyond establishment treatment.

In the course of his medical studies, Dei Santi had been taught the need to study methodically any empirical remedy, such as those used by Indian tribes, before even thinking of using it. He had learned that the medical researcher “must” first try to extract the active parts of the plant.

Then the researcher must test the extracts in the laboratory on animals, and finally on human volunteers. One must patent the drug and get a respected pharmaceutical manufacturer to produce the resulting pills, extracts, etc.

Only then — once the medicine is on the market — could one consider using it on a patient. Otherwise, a doctor would be defenseless against charges of malpractice and face the danger of losing his medical license. That of course is the proper procedure, approved by the medical authorities in Brazil.

In this case however there was no time to lose. His brother was a cancer victim in the Santo Andres Municipal Hospital. There was nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

He took the bark, boiled in white wine, mixed the still hot brew with orange juice and let his brother drink the concoction on an empty stomach. As if by miracle, the patient’s pain disappeared and he was able to sleep soundly. After a month of uninterrupted treatment with the brew, he was discharged from the hospital. A thorough examination had found no trace of cancer remaining.

After this startling development, the physicians at the Municipal Hospital of Santo Andre decided to break the rules for the benefit of other cancer patients, beginning with those of the “terminal” list. This happened near the end of 1960.

Since then, the physicians at the small provincial town hospital have noticed that the pain suffered by patients with leukemia or other cancers disappeared within days after they received the brew made from the inner bark Pau D’arco. They also found that within 60 days of treatment with this brew, many patients no longer showed any symptoms of the dread disease.

They also noticed that many other afflictions from which some of the cancer patients suffered such as diabetes, would disappear even more quickly than the cancer. The physicians were amazed.

Since the early 1960’s, this bark has been used regularly at the Municipal Hospital of Santo Andre to treat leukemia as well as numerous diseases where viruses were suspected as the cause. Both the herb stores and the “legitimate” pharmacies in Brazil now carry this bark.

“O Cruzeiro” (March 18 and 25, 1967) the respected Rio de Janeiro weekly, published two long illustrated articles about this remedy and the Municipal Hospital of Santo Andre, where it is used to treat a host of diseases. One of the pictures in their article shows a patient’s chart at the head of his bed. Below the patient’s name, age etc. is the diagnosis “cancer of the lung.” And, further below, in large handwritten letters, the prescription: “Pau D’Arco.”

Most people are amazed at how good the tea tastes with no after taste or side effects and drink it straight without adding anything to it. Taheebo tea by itself has a slightly sweet taste. You can add anything you wish to the tea, and, because the tea has such a mild flavor, you’ll immediately change the taste. However, if you’re fighting a life-threatening disease such as diabetes or cancer, you wouldn’t want to add something like sugar which would feed the disease.

The tea has a mild pleasant flavor, but a three year old for example, has not yet acquired a taste for any kind of tea, regardless how good it tastes. In these cases, parents routinely cook the tea with crushed blueberries, or other fruit like sliced apple or mango, and it tastes just like the fruit.

Once you cook a batch, the tea will last for 4 days without refrigeration, or 8 days with refrigeration. You can drink it hot, warm, room temperature, cold or iced. Because of an infant’s nutritional needs, the tea is not recommended for pregnant women, breast-feeding women, or children under the age of three.
